Your instructor has real first hand experience utilizing the skills taught in each program. In both pre-hospital and clinical settings Mark has assessed and treated hundreds of cardiac and pediatric patients. Mark is a registered Advanced Care Paramedic, with over 10 years experience in EMS. Mark began his education in 2009, becoming a Primary Care Paramedic for 5 years prior to advancing to Advanced Care Paramedic.

You will be certified through Heart & Stroke. Start to finish, from resuscitation and first aid research, through guideline development and application, to teaching resources, Heart & Stroke is the pre-eminent leader in resuscitation and first aid education in Canada.

In addition to the medical experience Mark has, he is a highly accomplished instructor. He teaches at a private EMS school in Calgary, PMA (Professional Medical Associates). He has taught EMR (Emergency Medical Responder), MFR (Medical First Responder), and PCP (Primary Care Paramedic) for over 8 years and recently begun teaching ACP (Advanced Card Paramedic). Through Heart and Stroke, Mark has been an instructor for over 7 years leading classes in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), PEARS (Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization), and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
